Rules & Enforcement Measures for Maintaining Safety and Integrity
“Let all things be done decently and in order.” — 1 Corinthians 14:40
To ensure a respectful and thriving community, these guidelines establish clear behavioral expectations and enforcement measures.
Community Guidelines (With Biblical Foundation)
1. Respect & Kindness – Ephesians 4:32
"Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you."
Engage with others in a spirit of goodwill, encouragement, and mutual respect.
Avoid harassment, bullying, hate speech, or personal attacks of any kind. (Immediate Ban)
0 (ZERO) Tolerance for trolling, argumentative, hateful or insulting behavior.
2. Constructive Discussions – Colossians 4:6
"Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone."
Debate and differing opinions are welcome, but they must remain civil and rooted in mutual respect and understanding.
Avoid intentionally inflammatory or divisive rhetoric.
3. Faith-Based Integrity – 2 Timothy 2:15
"Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth."
All discussions, reflections, and contributions should align with the core values of faith, truth, and love.
Misuse of scripture to manipulate or condemn others is not permitted.
4. No Spam, Promotions, or Self-Promotion – Philippians 2:3-4
"Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too."
Posts should contribute meaningful engagement, prayer need, testimony, or exhortation
Promotional content (business advertisements, fundraising, personal brands, etc.) must be approved by moderators.
5. No Politics – Philippians 3:20
"But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior."
This community is focused on faith, encouragement, and spiritual growth, not political debates.
Avoid discussing political parties, policies, government figures, or current political events.
We aim to foster unity in Christ rather than division over worldly affairs.
Conversations should reflect eternal truths over temporary conflicts.
"Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them."
Avoid descriptions of violence or trauma.
Do not spread conspiracy theories or misinformation.
7. Privacy & Security – Proverbs 11:13
"A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence."
Do not share personal contact details (your own or others’).
Discussions about sensitive topics must be approached with care.
8. Moderation Authority – Hebrews 13:17
"Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit."
Moderator decisions are final and should be respected.
If you feel a decision was unfair, use the designated appeal process.
Moderators will anonomousley use the "Faith Over Factions" Administrator account for all moderation activities
"Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself."
A private message reminding the member of community guidelines.
Encouragement to reframe their discussion constructively.
"If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise."
If behavior continues, a formal warning will be issued.
User’s posts may be subject to review before appearing publicly.
Tier 3: Temporary Mute (Persistent Issues) – Titus 3:10
"If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them."
A 24-72 hour mute will be applied if the behavior does not change.
During this period, the user can view content but cannot post or comment.
Tier 4: Removal from the Community (Severe or Repeated Violations) – Matthew 18:17
"If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector."
If behavior is hostile, threatening, harmful, or in clear defiance of the guidelines, account suspension or permanent removal may be applied immediately, circumventing tiers 1 - 3.
Appeals can be submitted for reconsideration after 30 days.
Reporting & Appeal Process
Reporting Issues – 1 Corinthians 5:12
"It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning."
Members can report concerns via [Designated Contact or Form].
All reports are confidential and will be reviewed fairly.
Appeal Process – Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, let’s settle this," says the Lord.
If action is taken against you and you believe it was unfair, you may submit an appeal.
Appeals will be reviewed within 7 days, and a final decision will be issued.
