Our Heart, Our Hope, Our Mission

There is a particular kind of loneliness that belongs to people who still believe but no longer fit — people who have not walked away from Jesus but have quietly walked away from everything that was supposed to represent Him. If you found this page, there is a chance you know what that feels like. Faith Over Factions exists for you.
The questions below answer about who we are, what we believe, how we operate, and why. Start here. Stay as long as you need. If you have questions of your own ask them using the form below. You are welcome and wanted in this space.
What is Faith Over Factions?
Faith Over Factions is a place for solo believers, lapsed Christians, and church-engaged followers who want to grow deeper in grace, truth, and daily faithfulness. We are committed to Scripture-centered living without theological jargon, religious division, political agendas, or heavy-handed traditions. Our mission is simple: grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
Why is this site called Faith Over Factions?
The name reflects a simple but urgent conviction: that loyalty to Jesus Christ must always take precedence over loyalty to any tribe, party, movement, or institution. In an era when Christianity has become increasingly identified with political factions and cultural warfare, we believe the call of the gospel is higher and older than any of that. Faith Over Factions is a declaration — and an invitation — to choose Christ above the noise.
What do you mean by spiritually homeless
?
Spiritually homeless describes the experience of believers who still love Jesus deeply but no longer feel at home in the institutional church — or who have drifted from faith altogether and are not sure where to return. It is the ache of someone who has not abandoned God but feels abandoned by the community that was supposed to represent Him. If you have ever sat in a pew feeling profoundly alone, or stopped attending but cannot stop praying, you know exactly what this means. You are not lost. You are not forgotten. You just need a place to land.
What is a Beleaguered Believer?
A Beleaguered Believer is someone still holding on — but just barely. They have not walked away from Christ, but they are worn down by the noise, the division, the disappointment, and the weight of trying to follow Jesus in a world that seems increasingly hostile to anything that looks like Him. It is not a label of defeat — it is a badge of faithful endurance. If that resonates with you, read more here.
Who is Faith Over Factions for?
We welcome anyone seeking authentic connection with God. Whether you are journeying alone, wrestling with disillusionment, or deeply rooted in church life but longing for more, you have a place here.
You don’t have to fit a mold — just come willing to grow.
Who writes the content here?
All content is written by the site’s founder — a believer with over 20 years of experience working in parallel ministry and corporate roles, including Bible study writing, teaching, media ministry, technical writing, and digital content management. That background shapes everything here: the gentle guiding tone, the practical focus, and the commitment to making Scripture accessible without dumbing it down. To learn more, visit the About The Founder page.
Why do you use the New Living Translation (NLT)?
We use the NLT because it faithfully communicates the original Scriptures in clear, natural language. Our heart is to make Scripture accessible, personal, and alive for every reader — whether you are new to faith or have walked with Christ for years.
Do you belong to a specific denomination?
No.
Faith Over Factions is a resource ministry that operates independently of institutional control. We focus on Jesus Christ and Scripture, not on any one group’s traditions or labels. Our heart desire is to operate within our core principle: Our unity is in Christ alone, not in human institutions. Read This Post
Is Faith Over Factions affiliated with any political organization or movement?
No — and that is a deliberate, foundational commitment, not an afterthought. Faith Over Factions has no affiliation with any political party, political action committee, advocacy organization, or ideological movement of any kind. We accept no funding, direction, or endorsement from political entities. Our only allegiance is to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the people seeking to live it faithfully.
Was Artificial Intelligence used in creating this site?
Yes.
To put it simply — Large Languafe Models are my typewriter and Research Assistant. Every word you read here is shaped by my own voice, theology, and lived experience. For over 20 years, I worked in parallel roles across church and corporate spaces — writing Bible studies, teaching classes, and serving in media ministry, while also working professionally as a technical writer, digital content creator and web manager for a Fortune 500 company. This background grounds the content, while AI helps organize and accelerate the process. What you’re reading comes from me — AI just helps me get it onto the page.
To support this project, I trained GPT on my past materials, tone, and INFP personality profile. The AI helps structure and streamline my thoughts, but each post is reviewed, edited, and refined by me before it’s ever published.
Because of a significant visual impairment, this tool allows me to bring what’s inside — what God has placed in me — to light more clearly and efficiently. It’s just a bridge — not the message, not the messenger.
Can I participate if I still attend a church?
Absolutely.
Faith Over Factions is here as a resource to supplement, not replace, your spiritual walk. We are not a church and do not offer pastoral counseling, or the fellowship of the local faith community. Whether you are deeply involved in a local church or exploring faith outside traditional structures, you are welcome to use and participate in whatever is here.
Is there a community I can join?
Not yet — but community is something we are prayerfully and carefully building toward.
In the meantime, the best ways to engage are through the comment sections on individual posts and by following us on Facebook, Bluesky, Instagram, and Substack. We are working toward an intentional online space where grace, growth, and safety are the standard — not an afterthought. Watch for updates.
Do you offer personal counseling or spiritual direction?
We do not. Faith Over Factions is a content ministry — not a counseling service, a church, or a pastoral care organization. While we care deeply about the people who find their way here, we are not equipped or qualified to provide the kind of individual support that genuine pastoral counseling and/or licensed care requires. If you are walking through a crisis, a season of deep grief, spiritual abuse, or mental health struggle, please reach out to a trusted pastor, licensed counselor, or crisis resource. What we can offer is a space to think, reflect, and grow — and we offer that freely.
That's our lane and we stay in it.
What kinds of topics do you cover?
We explore themes like:
- Overcoming fear
- Standing firm in troubled times
- Growing compassion over contempt
- Living out justice and mercy biblically
- Navigating faith when institutions fail
- Personal spiritual practices for daily life
Each reflection is rooted in Scripture, grounded in history, and focused on living faith out practically.
In addition to these reflections, Mile Markers in Genesis is our verse-by-verse Bible survey series, designed to bring Scripture to life with a focus on contemporary relevance and personal growth in Jesus Christ. Grab a journal and get ready to reflect.
How often is new content published?
New reflections, studies, and resources are added frequently. While we do not follow a rigid editorial calendar, our commitment is to consistent, quality content over volume. Following us on social media or subscribing to our email list is the best way to stay current as new material is published.
Are political comments or debates allowed?
Absolutely Not.
To protect the heart of this work, we do not allow political debates, party promotions, or divisive rhetoric. We seek unity in Christ, not in earthly movements. Such comments will be treated as spam and rejected from the moderation queue.
How can I get involved?
Start by reading and reflecting with us!
You can:
- Explore the Reflections in Righteousness series on the blog.
- Follow us on Facebook, Bluesky, Instagram, and Substack.
- Share your thoughts in the comment sections — your questions and reflections help shape future content.
- Submit a question using the form below.
Do you accept guest contributors or submissions?
Not at this time. Every piece of content published here reflects a consistent voice, theological posture, and editorial standard that we are not yet equipped to extend to outside contributors. That said, your questions genuinely shape future content — use the form below to submit a question or topic you would like us to address.
How do I find content on a specific topic?
The site is organized into several content series, each with its own focus. Reflections in Righteousness covers daily faith and spiritual formation. Mile Markers in Genesis is a verse-by-verse Bible survey. Portraits in Christian Resistance profiles believers who held firm under pressure. Thriving in the Mystery offers devotional content for seasons of uncertainty. You can also use the site search to find content by keyword or theme. If you are new, the best place to start is wherever your need is greatest.
Can I share content from this site?
Please do. Sharing is one of the most meaningful ways you can support this work. When sharing, we simply ask that you link back to the original post, credit Faith Over Factions, and preserve the integrity of the content — do not excerpt in ways that distort the meaning or remove the scriptural grounding. Everything here is offered freely, and we are grateful when it travels further than we can reach on our own.
Is Faith Over Factions™ a commercial venture?
Nope.
Faith Over Factions™ is a faith project, not a business. Everything here is offered freely to encourage faith, reflection, and deeper walk with God.
At times, books or other resources containing expanded reflections from this site may be made available for purchase at a nominal price from eBook platforms such as Amazon Kindle. This helps support the work and widen the reach, following the biblical principle: You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain
(Deuteronomy 25:4, NLT; see also 1 Timothy 5:18).
Our first book, The Beleaguered Believer’s Survival Guide to the End Times, is available now in paperback, hardcover, and free with Kindle Unlimited — for those who want to go deeper.
Additionally, a Patreon account will be available for whoever desires to support the work. However, no one is ever required to buy or give anything to participate, learn, reflect, or grow with us. Grace is freely given — and so is this space.
