Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s the refusal to let fear have the final word. God told Joshua to “be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:9) not because the battle was easy, but because the calling was greater than the fear. That same promise steadies us today.

The psalmist wrote, “The Lord is my light and my salvation — why should I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Courage doesn’t come from certainty. It comes from confidence in the One who walks with us step by step, even when the road ahead is dim.

Righteousness moves. It takes the next step even when the path feels too heavy or the cost too high. Courage echoes through every choice to trust, every prayer whispered in doubt, and every moment we rise when fear says stay down.

Courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s moving anyway. God told Joshua to be strong and courageous. The Lord is our light and salvation; with Him we rise even when knees shake. (Joshua 1:9 / Psalm 27:1)
