Hospitality is more than a warm gesture—it’s a spiritual discipline. Scripture tells us, “Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers,” because some have welcomed angels without knowing it (Hebrews 13:2). Hospitality pushes back against fear, suspicion, and the instinct to pull back into ourselves.

Paul wrote, “Always be eager to practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13) That’s an action-command, not a suggestion. Hospitality opens our homes, our tables, our time, and our hearts. It’s how righteousness becomes embodied—love that chooses presence over distance and welcome over walls.

In a world that feels more divided and anxious by the day, every doorway of grace matters. When the church practices hospitality, it becomes the one place where strangers become neighbors and neighbors become family.

Hospitality is righteousness made visible. Scripture calls us to welcome strangers and open our lives in love. Every open door pushes back fear and turns strangers into neighbors. (Hebrews 13:2 / Romans 12:13)
