Presence is one of the most powerful forms of righteousness. Paul wrote, “Weep with those who weep, rejoice with those who rejoice” (Romans 12:15). That only happens when we refuse to disappear during hard moments. Presence isn’t spectacular — it’s steady, patient, and costly.

Paul also said to “carry each other’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2). Sometimes that means listening without fixing, sitting without speaking, or standing with someone the world has left behind. Presence tells a hurting heart, “You don’t have to walk this valley alone.”

Righteousness doesn’t rush past pain. It slows down, steps in, and stays long enough for healing to breathe. When we show up, grace shows up with us.

Presence is righteousness made real. Don’t pull away when things get hard. Scripture calls us to weep with those who weep and carry one another’s burdens. Healing begins when someone stays. (Romans 12:15 / Galatians 6:2)
