Be Present

When the angel said, “I bring you good tidings of great joy” (Luke 2:10), the first echo of good news wasn’t a sermon — it was presence. God stepped into the world, not with spectacle, but with nearness. Before Jesus ever taught or healed or challenged the powerful, He showed up.

Someone in your world is carrying loneliness quietly today. Maybe it’s an elderly neighbor, a friend who never asks for help, or even someone under your own roof. Good news begins when we notice. Good news grows when we show up without needing to fix anything.

Being present is not small. It is the shape of the Incarnation — God with us, and us with one another. Be that presence for someone today. It may be the first good news they’ve felt all season.

Good news begins with presence. Someone near you is carrying loneliness quietly today. Show up. Listen. Sit with them. God came close at Christmas—so we draw close too. (Luke 2:10)
