When the church acts like a collection of tribes instead of a body, it forgets who holds it together. Paul pleaded with believers to be united, “that there be no divisions among you,” because factions fracture faith (1 Corinthians 1:10-13).

We don’t need uniformity to have unity. The Spirit’s bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3) allows room for difference without the poison of contempt. The early church was a mosaic—diverse people bound by one Christ. That’s still the call today.

The world already has enough echo chambers. The church’s witness is to love across the lines no one else will cross.

When the church divides into tribes and ideologies, it forgets who holds it together. Christ isn’t divided. The Spirit calls us to unity that outlives opinion and peace that outlasts pride. (1 Corinthians 1:10-13 / Ephesians 4:3)
